These are a weekly staple in the house for Coach Paul. It not only gives him a great way to add in some extra protein and carbs, but the collagen supports all of his connective tissue and joints as well as his gut lining.
I recommend Perfect Supplements Gelatin because it is grass-fed, organic, and glyphosate free.
INGREDIENTS
- 6-8 Cups (45 Ounces) of Whole Milk
- 8-10 Scoops (100 Grams) of Perfect Supplements Gelatin (Not collagen)
- ¼ cup (134 Grams) of Honey
- 2-4 TBS of Vanilla and Cocoa Powder for a chocolate version
JUICE VERSION
- 4-6 Cups of Juice (Tarte Cherry, Grape, Orange etc.)
- 6-8 Scoops of the Perfect Supplements Brand of Gelatin (1-3 more scoop if you want a firmer gummy candy)
- Sweetener to Taste if needed. Honey, maple syrup, sugar.
PREPARE:
- Bloom gelatin in 1 cup of the liquid until thickened. Mix with a whisk about a min.
- Pour remaining liquid and bloomed gelatin and sweetener into sauce pan.
- Heat on medium heat until it comes to a simmer just under a boil. Do not bring to full boil
- Pour into a large pan or molds and chill until firm.
